Description

The manufacture and processing of steel often generates large quantities of pollutants and the industry has long been involved in the development of improved  technologies that reduce the impact of their operations on the environment.

Furnace operations in particular can produce large volumes of inherently fine dust   much of which can be categorized as respirable. As a result, the levels of release to atmosphere of such dusts are under constant scrutiny and appropriate air pollution control is required to bring total dust missions below ever-reducing regulatory limits.

Polyester filter element is the most versatile, most cost-effective and most widely used filter element for dust collection.Steel plant polyester filter element is strong, abrasion resistant can work up to 150°C and has good resistance to common acids, solvents and oxidizing agents.

Steel plant polyester filter element’s one weakness is a tendency to hydrolyze which results in a loss of strength and toughness as the fibers break down and turn to powder.
